Registration Details

- To register for a program, the registration form must be turned in with the proper payment or the form will not be processed.
- The registration must be completed fully to be processed.
- Please note the registration deadlines.
- For age requirements, the participant(s) must be the required age by the first game (unless otherwise stated).
- Registrants will not be notified unless the program is cancelled.
- The "register by" deadlines noted indicate the date by which the minimum number must be met to avoid cancellation of the program.
- Program registration is accepted on first-come, first-served basis until maximum capacity is reached.
- A waitlist is available for filled programs.
- All those attending a program must be listed on the registration form along with the required assumption of liability signatures.
- Some programs do fill up, so please do not wait until the registration deadline to register for a program.
- Programs are not restricted to Dinwiddie County residents, unless noted. However, a $10.00 non-resident fee will be applied for fitness and cultural programs beginning with Winter/Spring Session II starting in March 2010.
Registration Deadlines
Youth Sports: Listed on the flyers.
All Other Programs: Unless listed, one week prior to the 1st class.
Assumption of Liability
Each individual registrant, age 18 and older must sign the waiver on the registration form. For each registrant under age 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign. Registration forms will not be processed if the Assumption of Liability is not signed, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Payment Options
Dinwiddie County Parks and Recreation only accepts cash, checks, or money order payments for programs. Individuals paying with cash are asked to bring exact change.
Check or money orders should be made out to Dinwiddie County Parks and Recreation.
Returned Check Policy
As the customer, I authorize you, the merchant to initiate an electronic debit to my account rendered on this check plus the legal limit returned check fee if the item is dishonored. The use of a check for the payment is my acceptance of this policy.
Refund Policy
Cultural/Wellness Programs
Refund requests must be submitted in writing no later than 2 weeks after a program/sessions start date. All refunds will be handled on a case by case basis. The Facilities Coordinator and the Assistant Director will be responsible for all program refunds.
In the event that Dinwiddie County Parks and Recreation cancels a program or activity a full refund will be issued to all participants. This process can take up to 30 days.
Athletics
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Youth Athletics Office no later than the first game of the season. After the first game refunds will not be issued. All refunds will be handled on a case by case basis.
In the event that Dinwiddie County Parks and Recreation cancels a program or activity a full refund will be issued to all participants. This process can take up to 30 days.
Program Adjustments
Dinwiddie County Parks and Recreation reserves the right to make any and all adjustments necessary to its programs or activities.
Inclement Weather Information
In the event that the Dinwiddie County Administrative offices are closed, all Parks and Recreation activities will be cancelled.
